Before we start this course, we will first look at what is covered during the training. The course is divided into categories and within each category, you will find several videos. You can pause and watch again any of the videos in the course. We update our courses regularly and you will be able to see any replacements and also any new videos as they are released. This may be an online course but if you have any questions during the course, you can contact us by phone, email, or use our online chat facility on any of our websites. You work through the course videos in order. And now I will give you an overview of what is contained in the course.

In the first category, we will cover fears of first aid, scene safety, driving the ABCDs, how to use face shields, initial assessment and the recovery position. We will also look at bag valve masks, respiration and breathing and pulse points. In cardiac arrest and CPR, we cover many different subjects including, adult, infant and child CPR, drowning, compression-only CPR, resuscitation of children, improving compressions and breaths and effective CPR. Heart attack and stroke are also covered within the course along with an adult, infant/child choking. Bleeding control is another section included in the First Aid Plus course, demonstrating how to treat embedded objects and also how to deal with serious external bleeding.

The final category on this course will inform you of subjects such as strains and sprains, splints, dislocated shoulders and joints, eye, chest and abdominal injuries, heat and cold injuries and also electrical injuries. We also look at asthma, epilepsy, febrile convulsions and finally, bites and stings.
